Title: Jewelry & Watch Consultant

Intro: As a Jewelry & Watch Consultant, you will be responsible for all sales responsibilities in the store that create a 5 star client experience. This includes generating leads, ringing up sales, delivering a professional and educational product presentation, etc. James & Sons provides extensive training in sales techniques, story telling, brand knowledge, etc to support you in accomplishing your sales goals!

Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Client Experience:

• Provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere

• Clean clients jewelry while they are shopping with you

• Provide a beverage delivery service to clients

• Gift wrap purchases

• Assist in housekeeping of the store so that it is always pristine. (product merchandising, glass cleaning, etc)

Clienteling:

• Manage appointments.

• Maintain a positive relationship with clients

• Keep up with emails and our CRM system to reply to clients in a timely manner

Sales / Education:

• Stay up to date with industry trends

• Participate in any company training sessions

• Educate clients to encourage a confident and well educated purchasing decision

• Achieve and exceed individual monthly sales goals and KPIs

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• 1+ year(s) of sales experience

• Friendly and upbeat personality

• Team player

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Business Hours:

• Tuesday - Friday 11am-7pm

• Saturday 10am-5pm

• Sunday 12pm-5pm

Title: Jewelry Repair & Office Coordinator

As the Repair & Office Coordinator, you will be responsible for the daily operations of the back office to support our sales team, bench jeweler, and clients. This role is ideal for someone who thrives behind the scenes, loves keeping systems running smoothly, and takes pride in precision and follow-through.

Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Shipping & Receiving:

• Receive all incoming packages and complete required documentation accurately

• Coordinate and manage outgoing shipments with clear, detailed notes

Repairs:

• Oversee client repairs from intake through final pick-up

• Perform Quality Assurance checks on all repairs prior to client delivery

• Maintain organization and workflow for the Bench Jeweler to ensure repairs stay on track

Inventory:

• Enter new inventory into the system accurately

• Complete price updates and retag merchandise as needed

• Organize and manage multiple inventory bins while keeping the sales team informed 

• Assist with inventory audits and case counts

Misc:

• Participate in company training sessions

• Support the sales team with sales processing, packaging, and other needs as required

• Assist with daily case set-up and break-down

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• 2+ years of administrative experience required

Intro: Since 1964, James & Sons has been Chicagoland’s trusted jeweler for jewelry & watch services. As a Bench Jeweler, you will be responsible for maintaining the high standard of repair service for our clients.

Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

General:

• Accuracy & performance

• Diagnosis of issues

• Inspections & cleaning

Jewelry Services:

• Prong repair

• Sizing

• Rhodium plating

• Clasp repair

• Stone setting

• Metal work (i.e. head and shank replacements)

Watch Services:

• Battery replacement

• Strap / bracelet adjustments

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• 4+ years of experience

• Detail oriented

• Problem solving capabilities

• Fine motor skills
