THE LOVE STORY OF BREE & JERRY:

Jerry and I met while I was visiting my sister at college during homecoming weekend in 2019. He was on the basketball team and lived in the same building as my sister and her softball team, leading them all to become close friends. I was teaching at an elementary school on the same block as the university. This led me to spend a lot of time visiting them all. After meeting at homecoming and many other visits to Saint Xavier, we started dating right before the pandemic started. Over the course of the next 4 years, we dated through the pandemic and quickly fit right into one another's families. We traveled to many different places across the US. Jerry graduated nursing school and I moved back to teach first grade and coach softball in my childhood school district. Jerry earned his first nursing job & won Advocate Health Has Talent. I volunteered at church, in the community, and raised money for my non-profit Love One. Together we attended, stood up, & danced the night away at many of our friends' weddings, and finally bought our first home together.

We got engaged on September 28th, 2024 surrounded by all of our closest friends and family. Then we spent the next eight months planning as many meaningful and intentional details for our wedding as possible with our amazing vendor team! Our wedding was the most special day with more personal touches than we could have imagined. The girls got ready in our first home and the boys got ready in Jerry's childhood home. My uncle/godfather officiated an incredibly personal, thoughtful, & faith-filled ceremony. Jerry joined the music duo to sing live during our cocktail hour and our bridal party passed out jell-o shots during their reception entrance (one of our college tailgate traditions). Our guests autographed our guitar guest book that now hangs in our home and our siblings gave such meaningful speeches. I dedicated my bouquet to my mom & sang happy birthday to Jerry's mom. Our first dance song recorded was by Jerry himself. We watched our siblings, parents, grandparents, & eventually all of our guests open our dance floor while Jerry sang "Remember When", dancing the night away with our closest friends and family, and eating a whole lot of “Bree & Jerry’s” ice cream to end the night! It was a day we will never forget and one we will forever cherish. Following our wedding, we honeymooned in Turks & Caicos and are enjoying every day or being married!

THE RING DETAILS:

Bree & Jerry shopped at our Orland Park store with Tiffany!

Her Rings: Bree has a gorgeous white gold split shank Fana ring with a 1CT oval center stone in a cushion halo setting. This is paired with a classic white gold eternity wedding band.

His Ring: Jerry has a 14K white gold beveled edge band with a sandblast finish.

"Jerry's entire family & extended has purchased all of their wedding rings and fine jewelry from James and Sons as far back as his grandparents. We knew right from the start that we wanted to do the same and we first went ring shopping over a year before getting engaged. Our sales associate was so kind, helpful, and informative. Bree picked a few engagement rings she liked with similar shape/cut, color, and setting, leaving Jerry to pick a band style. Jerry returned shortly after with his mom and aunt to customize a ring that so perfectly represents us both. After getting engaged, when we returned to choose our wedding bands, we quickly realized that our sales associate this time was Bree's parent's neighbor, Tiffany. Tiff was so incredibly knowledgeable, honest, accommodating, and fun to work with throughout the entire process of choosing our bands! Every employee and encounter at James and Sons was so intentional and meaningful, never rushed, leading us to truly enjoy the entire process of purchasing our rings and leaving us beyond happy with the rings we chose!"
