Monaco. A prestigious circuit whose original track is a very special experience for drivers. In 1969, in honor of this unique Grand Prix, TAG Heuer launched a chronograph with a new design. Its water-resistant square case - the first in watchmaking history - houses the Chronomatic, the world’s first automatic chronograph movement with a microrotor. Steve McQueen had an empathy for this audacious, rebellious watch and in 1970 chose to wear it in the film “Le Mans”, dedicated to motor racing.
